Chapter 45: Don't Say Another Word

Is it stalling for time? Or should she confront Asher about their situation right now? After hesitating for a moment, she finally uttered, "Yes."

Somehow, there were certain things she didn't want to lie to him about.

But her response only added another layer of coldness to his face. He interrogated her, almost accusingly, "Why?"

"Because you haven't fallen in love with me, and I..." Before she could finish her sentence, her lips were forcefully covered by his hand, preventing her from saying another word.

"Don't say another word, Vivi. Don't say it!" He kissed her jawline, his tongue gently licking and sucking, as if a thirsty person desperately drinking water, seizing the opportunity for survival. "I've already told you, I will fall in love with you, so don't say another word!"

He didn't want to hear what she had left unsaid. Perhaps if he heard it, he would lose control and do something uncontrollable.
