Chapter 25: Dominance is a Man's Nature

The phone continued to ring incessantly, but Elaine snapped back to reality. She didn't have time to pay attention to her phone and quickly opened the car door to run back. The security guard at the entrance noticed the situation and ran over, shouting from a distance, "Miss Smith!"

"I think I hit someone," Elaine responded. Indeed, she saw someone sitting on the ground not far ahead, and strangely enough, the figure looked familiar. As she approached, the image became clearer, and it was indeed someone she knew.

"Calvin?"

The person sitting on the ground was none other than Calvin. Upon hearing Elaine's voice, he turned around. His glasses, with one temple broken in the collision, hung crookedly on his nose. His handsome face was pale with a lingering shock. When he saw her, his handsome face instantly contorted.

"Miss Smith, I just wanted to say hello to you. Did you have to try to kill me like this?" Calvin complained.

Elaine was relieved that he was still able to speak clearly. He
