A Gift Box

Eliana looked around the room and sat down on the bed. Her hands rested on the mattress. "Are you sure that your father is not good? He adores you so much," Eliana stated. Augustus put the blazer on the chaise lounge and came to sit beside her.

"I never had a conversation with him this calmly," Augustus stated. "This is the first time that I saw him this way." He was astonished to see his father's behavior in the living hall.

"You must have gotten angry at him, everytime he tried to have a conversation with you," Eliana remarked.

"Eliana, he betrayed my mother." He sounded serious and his voice seemed full of pain. She didn't know that her words would hurt him.

"What if the truth is something else?" Eliana asked. "You were a kid and you might've had some misunderstandings towards your father," she opined.
