Eliana looked around the room and sat down on the bed. Her hands rested on the mattress. "Are you sure that your father is not good? He adores you so much," Eliana stated. Augustus put the blazer on the chaise lounge and came to sit beside her."I never had a conversation with him this calmly," Augustus stated. "This is the first time that I saw him this way." He was astonished to see his father's behavior in the living hall. "You must have gotten angry at him, everytime he tried to have a conversation with you," Eliana remarked. "Eliana, he betrayed my mother." He sounded serious and his voice seemed full of pain. She didn't know that her words would hurt him. "What if the truth is something else?" Eliana asked. "You were a kid and you might've had some misunderstandings towards your father," she opined. Augustus turned quiet. He didn't say anything and asked her to freshen up first. He went to the cupboard and checked that it was full of clothes. He took out a casual pair of clo
Eliana brought out the wedding photo which was inside the gift box. Augustus looked at her and then at the photo. An awkward silence persisted between the two. "It looks beautiful," Augustus said and took the wedding photo from her. Eliana didn't respond and wondered how Rafaello found the wedding photo when hardly anyone knew about it. Eliana found an envelope inside the box and took it out. Opening it, she found two tickets inside them. "Ahh, he also gifted the tickets of a hotel to us," Eliana said and lifted her head to look at Augustus. Augustus took them from her. "Have you ever been to the night boat?" Augustus asked. Eliana shook her head. "Rafaello book them for tomorrow evening," he stated. "Is it necessary to go?" Eliana queried him. "Of course. We must go on dates to know each other better," Augustus opined with a tiny smile on his lips. "Eliana, I have no intention to leave you after our contract gets over. So, it is better for us to know each other," he suggested to
Augustus didn't feel it right to hide the fact anymore from her that he liked her. He nodded his head. "I do. I have liked you since the first day we met. Since I had this pressure of marriage with Gia, I decided to marry you," Augustus told her the truth. While telling the truth, he also admitted that he liked Eliana, which he was unable to do for a long time. "You could have asked me to date you," Eliana stated."You would not have given me the chance. Also, I had no time to date you. Marriage was the only option," Augustus affirmed. "Forgive me for forcing you into this marriage. I had no other way to convince you," Augustus apologized at the same time. "Why do you like me?" Eliana asked another question from him. "I already mentioned it before. I never saw a woman like you in my life," Augustus answered. "That night you not only saved me, but also won my heart," he added. "I will do my best to become a perfect husband," he assured her. Eliana finally met his gaze and told him
Everyone gathered around the dinner table. Augustus got a little awkward to see Josefina on the dinner table. Eliana glanced at him and whispered near his ear to not feel awkward. Rafaello looked at his mother, expecting her to apologize sincerely to Augustus. Frederico cleared his throat and started to speak. "Josefina will apologize to Augustus for what she did," Frederico said. "The mistake she made, she must repent of it," he added. Josefina turned her head to look at Augustus, who wasn't looking at her. "Augustus, I apologize for my mistake. I should not have done something like this. I should have been a responsible mother and should have stopped Gia from doing such a thing. Please forgive me," Josefina said. Her voice was filled with guilt. She didn't like it when her husband and her son, Rafaello, looked at her with disgust. Augustus chuckled. That apology didn't sound sincere at all to him. However, since they were having dinner, he didn't want to create any scene. "We f
Eliana found Augustus in the balcony of their bedroom. She stepped into the balcony and quietly stood by his side. "Are you good?" Eliana asked him. "No. I want to leave right now with you," Augustus asserted. His hands tightly pressed against the aluminium handrail of the balcony. "A place where my wife's respect cannot be done, I can't stay there. What do you say? Should we leave?" Augustus asked her opinion. Eliana shook her head. "Your father and brother will feel bad. I understood why you hate your step-mother. She's a toxic person. If I would be at your place, then I would have taught her a lesson," Eliana stated. "A lesson? How?" Augustus questioned her with an amusing expression. "Umm," Eliana turned and rested her elbows on the handrail, "I would have put something in her face pack so that she would get these big pimples on her entire face," she gave him the idea.Augustus started to laugh. "Won't that be too much? For a person, the face is everything," he affirmed. "No.
Lorenzo Bianco saw Gia alone in the park. He had some work in the nearby University when decided to take a walk in the nearby park. His eyes fell on Gia, who had been under a tree and was sleeping. Quickly, he walked to her and got on his knees. "Gia!" He softly called her name out as he placed his hand on her shoulder. Gia opened her eyes and found everything was dark around her. Only the street light from the far and illuminated the place a little. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Lorenzo. "What are you doing here?" He asked with bewilderment and grasped her both hands. They both got up from the ground. Lorenzo brushed the hair off her face and found she had worn a thin dress. He removed his leather jacket quickly and put it around him. "Come with me," Lorenzo said and took her back to his car. After seating inside the car, Lorenzo gave her water bottle. She thanked him and drank water from it. She wiped her lips and put the cap on the bottle. "Why were here? What if someone w
Augustus and Eliana left for the office the next day with Rafaello. Eliana asked Augustus about her father upon reaching the office. "I will talk with my friend. Do you want to go and see him?" Augustus asked her. "Yes. I usually used to go daily to see my father," she informed him. Augustus hummed and scrolled his contact list. He found Romeo's number and dialed his number. After a few rings, Romeo answered his call. "Romeo, I want to ask about Eliana's father's state ," Augustus didn't do the formalities of greeting him as they were good friends. "As I told you before, the patient's condition isn't good. I would like you to tell Eliana and Arnaldo to be ready for the worst. The patient's organs aren't well and I ran the tests in which I found out that he got diabetes too. Because his immune system has weakened, so there are chances of spread of other diseases too," Romeo explained everything to Augustus. "If you want to come to the hospital, then you should," he suggested to him.
Eliana and Augustus reached the hospital. Romeo took them to his cabin and started to explain about Eliana's father's condition.Romeo clasped his both hands before resting them on the table in front of him. "I had a conversation regarding your father with Augustus earlier too," Romeo initiated the conversation with Eliana. She gazed at Augustus. "I didn't tell you because I thought there may be the slightest chance of improvement," Augustus replied to her. "Yes. We thought that chances of improvement are present. However, after running tests, I found out that your father has diabetes and because of this, his organs have started to affect. I don't think he will make it, Eliana. So, you and brother should prepare for the worst," Romeo explained to her in a crisp manner. "Also, it is tough for a person to wake up from a coma. A few rare cases exist, but in your father's situation it is not possible, Eliana." Augustus looked at Eliana, who was comprehending everything in her mind. She
