"Are you nervous?" Julian whispered as the car they were traveling in had entered the airport area.
While tightening her grip, Mia swallowed hard. "A little," the girl answered in a weak voice.
Realizing how cold and sweaty his lover's fingers were, Julian tilted his head and put on a shady look. While stroking the back of the girl's hand with his thumb, he said, “Don't worry, Mia. Everything will be fine. Airport security has been tightened and policemen are on guard in several places.”
"Sorry, Julian," the girl sighed as she couldn't lie to herself. “There is no way I can assuage this fear. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
Before the man refuted, Mia continued talking. “So let the tension fill my nerves. I need it to be more vigilant.”
Realizing that his lover's words were true, the corners of Julian's lips lifted even though they were heavy. "You know what? I can't wait to see you in a wedding dress."
After wetting the throat that was burning with anxiety, Julian wiped the cold sweat on his lover's white face. "Mia," he called hoarsely. "Sorry .... I'm sorry for not taking care of you properly." Instead of answering, the girl kept putting on a dreamy look. She didn't move at all. The eyelids that were raised to the maximum were reluctant to even make a single blink. "Mia?" Julian called in a more slicing voice. Not getting an answer, the man lowered his gaze towards the hole in Mia's shirt. Even though there was no blood flowing, he still felt uneasy. "Can we remove it now?" Julian asked the man who was busy listening to the voice from the small speaker in ear. "We'd better move your wife to a safer place first," the officer replied with a reassuring nod. “Okay,” the CEO sighed while placing his arms under Mia's back and knees. A second later, without waiting for a signal, he picked up the girl. "Where should I take her?"
"Many Face?" Julian sighed with a questioning look."Yes. That's what the woman is called. She can make up her face to be anyone and also frequently change her body weight so as not to be easily tracked. That's why, the international criminal has not been caught yet."Receiving such information, an idea suddenly flashed through Julian's mind. “Is it possible … No Name will imitate that woman's way of changing her appearance?”"That's very possible, Sir. Therefore, I advise you to be careful with everyone. Hire a professional bodyguard to anticipate things that are not expected.”While clenching his jaw, the CEO nodded faintly. "Yes. I have already prepared several people to welcome us at the destination airport.”"That's a very appropriate step," the officer replied in a steady voice. “Keep your vigilance high, Sir. When you return to where your hometown, I can only pray for your safety.”Receiving
"Sorry, Sir. What skills do you have that earned you the nickname 'Sharp Knife'? What do you mean by knife-wielding?” Mia asked timidly."Have you ever heard of knife throwing?" the coated man inquired with a glance. After checking her memory, the girl replied. "What's that?"“Many people call it a form of sport. But, to me, it's a very beautiful art.”Getting such an implied answer, Mia let out a faint sigh. "Is it difficult?""Why did you ask, Mia? Are you interested in learning it?” Julian inquired with an eyebrow raised in surprise."Yes," the girl answered with sparkling eyes. “Won't it be better if we increase our self-defense ability?”“Of course,” the Sharp Knife interrupted before snorting lightly. "Then, how about we start practicing tomorrow?"Getting a warm welcome from the master, Mia spontaneously raised her neck. “Would you like to train me?”"Yes
"Why haven't you gone to work yet?" Max asked when he saw his brother sitting in the side chair."I want to see Mia train first," Julian replied while pointing his index finger at his lover. “Besides, Dad gave me a day to rest before returning to Quebracha. How about you? Why haven't you left?"Receiving a question in reply, Max spontaneously snorted. “Have you lost your mind? I just need to go upstairs to find my office,” the man said, shaking his head faintly. He really couldn't understand his brother's stupidity.“Yeah, I know about that. I mean, why are you here now? Not in that room?” Julian replied curtly."Same with you. I also want to watch my love practice knife throwing,” Max answered, holding the corners of his lips so they wouldn't lift too high. The man didn't want his brother to know that he still felt happy every time he managed to provoke annoyance. Not wanting to drain his emotions, Julian looked
Seeing his lover still standing in front of the target board, Julian sighed faintly. After wiping the pity from his face, the man walked over to the girl who had just thrown a knife through the garden light."Aren't you tired?"In an instant, Mia turned around with round eyes. "Julian? When you get home?"With a thin curve of lips, the man stroked his lover's hair which was wet with sweat. “Gabriella said your training ended two hours ago. But, why are you still here?”"Two hours ago?" Mia sighed while pulling her eyelids higher.“You train so hard that you lose track of time, hm?” Julian replied, raising an eyebrow.Grinning, the girl shook her head. "I don't know I've been training this long," she said between breaths. “Then, you … why are you coming home now? Didn't you say you just wanted to review one more document? You should have asked me to work overtime if there was still a lot of work to do.&rdq
“Max,” Gabriella sighed after closing the door tightly. A second later, she rushed over to her husband who was lying on his side on the bed. "You know what I just saw?"Detecting the excitement in his wife's whisper, Max was forced to stop staring at Cayden's cute sleeping face."What?" the man asked as he turned and straightened himself."Julian just invited Mia into his room," the woman answered without doubt. In an instant, the man's eyes opened wider. "Are you sure?""One hundred percent sure. They're clearly sneaking around," Gabriella nodded, arching her eyebrows high.Receiving such a confirmation, the air blew quickly from Max's mouth. “Why are they acting like teenagers? Tsk, though ... I already reminded Julian about this. It can be bad if Auntie finds out,” the man mumbled as he blinked, considering the situation."Should we call them?" the woman asked, proposing an idea."No," Max shook his h
Without thinking any longer, Mia wrapped her lover's waist with the available towel. “Now, put this on and face them. I can hide behind the door,” the girl suggested with a nod. "But—" “Hurry up! Don't make their anger get bigger," Mia urged while pushing her lover's body. Swallowing hard, Julian drew closer to the door. With trembling hands and a pounding heart, he turned the key. A second later, the door was immediately pushed from the outside. However, after a while, no one stepped inside. "What are you waiting for? Get out quickly!” Hearing an unexpected voice, Julian spontaneously met Mia's eyes. Their worries turned out to be overblown. "Get out or I'll be in!" "All right, all right," Julian grunted before snorting and walking away from his lover who still had to take cover behind the door. "What are you doing inside?" Max inquired while crossing his arms over the chest. The look on his face seemed like a father s
After descending the stairs, Gabriella smiled brightly. Their youngest servant seemed very diligent in cleaning the shelves with a rag. "Good morning, Lena," the woman said lightly as she continued walking towards the kitchen. However, after a few steps, no answer was heard. Gabriella was forced to freeze her legs to sharpen the hearing. "Good morning, Lena," she repeated in a louder voice. Instead of answering, the girl in the uniform touched her ear. In an instant, the mistress' mouth rounded. "Oh, she must be listening to music through earphones," Gabriella muttered with a small nod. A second later, she continued her steps towards the kitchen. Just before the woman arrived in the doorway, Minnie's voice broke. “Does anyone of you see Mia?” Again, the lady's feet stopped moving. With round eyes and a stiff blink, she listened to the chatter of the servants. "No, Auntie," two people answered, almost at the same time.
