Chapter Forty-Two

Scar breathed out a breath she didn't even know that she was holding as she reached home, her mind was swirling with numerous questions.

'Did Harper know? Is that why she called me over? Or does she just think that I might know who the woman would be because I'm Mr. Ash's PA?'

It was so confusing, Scar didn't know what to think anymore. She opened the door and entered her and Nat's house.

As she walked in, she was hit by a scrumptious aroma of freshly baked cupcakes, despite having already eaten she felt like she wouldn't mind a bite or two.

Scar's feet dragged her to the source of the amazing aroma, she found Natalie removing a bunch of freshly baked cupcakes from the oven.

"Hey, you're back," Nat said, opening her arms for a hug.

Scar walked to her friend and gave her a bear hug, "Yep, whatcha baking?"

"Red velvet cupcakes." She grinned waving at her masterpiece.

"Ohhh, that's awesome, can I have one, " Scar asked, pulling out her pouty puppy dog eye face.

Nat stretched out
