ARIA'S POV.This was shameful, and painful. I tried to find a way to escape the pointy spear, but then, it seemed so much like my body had given into weakness.“Stop!” I heard Alpha Dylan order, and they retreated, and bowed to him.I let out heavy breaths, and the pain that spiraled in my heart made me feel too shameful to look anywhere else apart from the sky.“Oh my. Poor girl. If she can't sixty percent skillful, then how on earth is fit to be a Luna.” I heard one of the noblemen whisper. This nobleman was definitely not close enough, but I didn't understand how I could hear a lot of their murmurs.Although, I was so curious to know about what they thought of me since I lost.“That's sort of a disgrace.” Another said. Then I found the courage to turn my head towards Alpha Dylan and Aiden. Aiden had this concerned look on while Alpha King Dylan stared at me like I was a lowly creature.“This has come to an end, my people. It was still great to watch.” Alpha King Dylan spoke, and A
ARIA’S POV“Look Aria, you need to do this or it’s all over.” He shook my shoulders lightly, just to show his seriousness about it.“You need to focus your energy on manipulating their minds, therefore, wiping off all they have seen today.”At first, I wondered how he came to know all this, but I recalled that he had read a lot about us, and there must have been books he had come across that had more stories about us.“So, if their memories get wiped out, we have to start all over again in impressing Alpha King Dylan?” I asked, feeling like everything had just come to waste, all because I went too far.“No. You will wipe their memories of what they saw you do to these female warriors, but the feeling of respect and fear will remain. But the fear is still going to be much more like respect because as they get to know you more, they’ll only see more reasons to respect than fear you for nothing.” Aiden explained, and my understanding became clear.“I see.” I muttered under my breath, sti
ALPHA KING RYAN'S POVThe step I had taken was quite the best for now, since I can't tell what Aria is capable of presently.Someone like Alpha King Dylan would believe what I said about Aria. Although, I had not said anything in straight words, but what I had said is enough to make him feel a bit weary and even make him find it difficult to trust Aria.~flashback~“Aria isn't someone you can trust wholeheartedly if she ever comes to you. There's something about her which I haven't figured out. But one has to be careful.” I said to Alpha King Dylan.“Really? What could be scary about that young woman? She looks feeble, and her family are dead.” Alpha King Dylan uttered, almost chuckling out.“That's exactly what she would use to deceive anyone, but that won't be me. I just came here to let you know that she can't be taken lightly as there's something mysterious about her.” I spoke, then rose to my feet to leave.~back to reality~I smirked, and cleaned the part of my lips where the wi
ALPHA KING AIDEN’S POV.Immediately Alpha King Ryan's arrival was announced, I could feel the shift in the atmosphere. Alpha King Dylan tensed up, and I could see his expression stiffen. It looked like he was suddenly burdened with thoughts. He clearly didn't like the message he had heard. He looked from me to the door, behind which stood the messenger who had brought the message, and cleared his throat. "I'll be excused." He said, in a grumpy tone, and got up from his seat, pushing back his billowing robes. He walked past me to the door, and went out through it hastily. No one needed to tell me where the problem came from. Alpha King Ryan was definitely the core of it. Alpha King Dylan had been talking pleasantly, and proudly up until the minute the announcement of Alpha King Ryan's arrival was made.I laid a hand over my forehead. He could not have picked a worse timing to show up. It was annoying. I didn't want to mess up my chances with Alpha King Dylan. I waited quite a while
ARIA’S POV.~FLASHBACK~I stepped out of the bathroom, after taking an afternoon shower. I wrapped a cotton cloth around me, and began to dry my hair in front of my dressing mirror. Shortly, I heard a knock on my door, and turned. "Who's there?""It's Jamison…" I didn't even need to hear the rest. I shot up from my seat, and pushed open my wardrobe to get anything to pull on.I wore a light brown gown, with spaghetti straps, as that was the first, and easiest one I could lay my hands on.It went over my head easily, and I took off the cotton cloth I had wrapped around my body. I pulled out my hair from inside my cloth, and went to the door, opening it wide. His eyes fell on my body immediately, and I could see him absorbing in the little bubbles of water on my shoulders, and my hair which still stuck to my skin in some places. His eyes went down my body uncomfortably, and I was aware that the gown was quite exposing around my shoulders, and chest. It made me want to wrap my arms
ARIA'S POV.“What.. what's this supposed to mean?” I questioned, not knowing how to react to his sudden appearance and unexpected action. “What does it look like?” He spoke, with a smile on his face.Despite the discomfort I felt whenever he was around me, I couldn't deny the fact that he had a charming smile.“You are here to train and I decided to spice it up, and also help by making the training even more real.” He replied as he withdrew his sword from its sheath.“But I didn't ask for your help. I'm fine on my own.” I spoke sharply, maintaining a serious look.“I don't think this is about how you don't really like me. I feel you should let that aside in times like this. What's more important is getting what we're after. Our mission.” Jamison spoke, sticking his sword to the ground.“And I don't recall having you as a help in this mission. Why on earth is Aiden telling you about this?” I frowned my face and folded my arms, unwilling to go with what he said.Although, he was right
ARIA’S POVWhat I had thought, happened in a trance had actually happened in reality; only that in reality, it was just Jamison who had experienced the aggression of my powers. I quickly ran to him as he fell to the ground.“Are… are you okay?” I asked him, out of concern.Although, I wasn’t interested in anything about him, but as long as I was the one who sort of caused him pain, I needed to be concerned about this. He held his stomach down with his right hand, and gritted his teeth as he squeezed his eyelids.“I’m fine. You don’t’ have to worry. I wasn’t just prepared to shield myself against the force.” He said as he managed to rise to his feet.“What happened here?” Aiden questioned, while walking towards us with curiosity growing in his eyes.“It’s nothing. We were just practicing, and she’s gotten quite better.” Jamison spoke before I could say anything.“But you look hurt.”“That should be good news, Alpha.”How was that supposed to be good news when I had just hurt him. For
ARIA'S POV.I sat in my room, drying my hair, and humming softly to myself. The week had been tiring, and I'd found myself sleeping more than usual. Two times, I had slept with my dress, and corset on. The maids couldn't believe how anyone could sleep with their corset on, but all that had been on my mind was the bed, and immediately I saw it, I walked towards it. My eyes had been half-closed anyway. I couldn't do more.Alpha Aiden and I had seen some more Kings, and while some of them had been quite easy to speak with, some had been really hard to tackle, questioning everything, and making things hard for us. Some of them had put us through difficult moments before agreeing, and some remained as tough as a nut, not agreeing with us.It had been a really exhausting week. After Alpha Dylan, I had thought the rest would be easy, but the following week had completely proved me wrong."Ma'am. It's almost time for dinner. I was sent to prepare you." A maid said, after knocking on my door
