ARIA'S POV.“What.. what's this supposed to mean?” I questioned, not knowing how to react to his sudden appearance and unexpected action. “What does it look like?” He spoke, with a smile on his face.Despite the discomfort I felt whenever he was around me, I couldn't deny the fact that he had a charming smile.“You are here to train and I decided to spice it up, and also help by making the training even more real.” He replied as he withdrew his sword from its sheath.“But I didn't ask for your help. I'm fine on my own.” I spoke sharply, maintaining a serious look.“I don't think this is about how you don't really like me. I feel you should let that aside in times like this. What's more important is getting what we're after. Our mission.” Jamison spoke, sticking his sword to the ground.“And I don't recall having you as a help in this mission. Why on earth is Aiden telling you about this?” I frowned my face and folded my arms, unwilling to go with what he said.Although, he was right
ARIA’S POVWhat I had thought, happened in a trance had actually happened in reality; only that in reality, it was just Jamison who had experienced the aggression of my powers. I quickly ran to him as he fell to the ground.“Are… are you okay?” I asked him, out of concern.Although, I wasn’t interested in anything about him, but as long as I was the one who sort of caused him pain, I needed to be concerned about this. He held his stomach down with his right hand, and gritted his teeth as he squeezed his eyelids.“I’m fine. You don’t’ have to worry. I wasn’t just prepared to shield myself against the force.” He said as he managed to rise to his feet.“What happened here?” Aiden questioned, while walking towards us with curiosity growing in his eyes.“It’s nothing. We were just practicing, and she’s gotten quite better.” Jamison spoke before I could say anything.“But you look hurt.”“That should be good news, Alpha.”How was that supposed to be good news when I had just hurt him. For
ARIA'S POV.I sat in my room, drying my hair, and humming softly to myself. The week had been tiring, and I'd found myself sleeping more than usual. Two times, I had slept with my dress, and corset on. The maids couldn't believe how anyone could sleep with their corset on, but all that had been on my mind was the bed, and immediately I saw it, I walked towards it. My eyes had been half-closed anyway. I couldn't do more.Alpha Aiden and I had seen some more Kings, and while some of them had been quite easy to speak with, some had been really hard to tackle, questioning everything, and making things hard for us. Some of them had put us through difficult moments before agreeing, and some remained as tough as a nut, not agreeing with us.It had been a really exhausting week. After Alpha Dylan, I had thought the rest would be easy, but the following week had completely proved me wrong."Ma'am. It's almost time for dinner. I was sent to prepare you." A maid said, after knocking on my door
ARIA'S POV..I stared at him, unable to take my eyes off him. He was staring right back at me with a weird look in his eyes which I couldn't comprehend. I had expected him to be there. I knew he would try to come and see things for himself. The Kings who had refused to be won over by us had probably given him updates about what we were trying to do.There could be no other reason for his coming uninvited. He stared at me as I walked on the purple carpet, but I took my eyes off him. I didn't have the time to keep staring at him. There were other things to focus on. The people all bowed, except the important Kings and their Queens. I walked towards Aiden who was waiting for me on his large throne seat, with a smile. He looked pleased with what he saw. I joined him on the seat next to him which was meant for me, and sat. "You look beautiful tonight." He complimented me, and I blushed. The people gave their greetings to me, and one of the men, standing on my right to give me anything I
ALPHA KING RYAN'S POV..When I saw Aria walk in, I couldn't deny that I was a little stunned. She was so different from the maid I used to know. How had she managed to transform into someone as beautiful as she was at the moment? The both of us locked eyes, and I could see dissatisfaction settle in those eyes. She didn't like me being there, but what could she do about it. She took her eyes off mine casually, and continued moving. Her beautiful red hair had been styled, and decorated with golden pins. Her lips had been painted with red, and those sparkling blue eyes that had been filled with dissatisfaction for me moments ago quickly turned into something more beautiful. Those blue eyes held happiness, as she looked around at all the people bowing to her.It was probably a sweet feeling she couldn't get used to. After all, she used to be the one doing the bowing. She gave a short speech that wasn't too impressive, but still the people clapped, and looked impressed. Maybe it was beca
ARIA'S POV.I couldn't explain how happy I felt to hear the elder say that. His wisdom was top-notch. After all, if I had two dresses, I chose the one I wanted, and not the other way around. I had never heard of the dress selecting itself. With happiness, I turned to Alpha Ryan, who looked like he knew what I was going to say, like he could command me to choose him with the nasty look in his eyes. Every eye was on me, and they seemed to be expecting a twist, but unfortunately, there wasn't going to be such a thing. Alpha Ryan seemed like he had swallowed a large, nasty seed, as he waited for me to reply. He shouldn't have gone ahead of himself. It was stupid and pointless. He didn't really think I was going to choose him, did he? “I've long accepted Alpha Aiden as my mate. I don't think there's a need to think things over, or even ask the question in the first place.” I said, out loud, and Alpha Ryan's face turned red. Why would he want the maid he had despised? Him trying to act l
ARIA'S POV .The party continued, although it was noiser than it was before Alpha Ryan made his scene. It was all anyone wanted to talk about. After all, everyone delighted in a spectacle to gossip about. Some of them couldn't believe I used to be a maid, and talked openly about it. It made me uncomfortable, and spoiled my party mood.I turned to Alpha Aiden who was pouring a drink for a group of Alphas, and whispered into his ear."I'll be in the garden. I just want some air." I said, and he looked at me with a worried expression, before nodding. I walked out to the garden feeling so suffocated. My corset which had felt a little loose earlier was even more worse. It felt like it had tightened up by itself.I sat on the grace disgracefully, and breathed in the scent of dandelions. Looking up at the night sky, with the breeze in my hair made me feel a little better. It was preferable to the noise inside the great hall. Alpha Ryan was probably in his carriage seething with rage, una
ARIA'S POV.I woke up, and sat straight on my bed, gasping. My bed was wet, and sweat was pouring out from every hole in my body. It took a while for me to realize it was nothing but a nasty dream, and nothing was going to happen to me. I sighed, looking around. The candles were flickering lightly, and the curtains were still, as there was no air coming in from the closed window. I leaned against the headboard, and placed my hands over my face. Why would I have such a dream? Was it because I was worried, or because I had cause to worry? My feet found the floor, and I walked over to the window, and opened it. Air brushed past my hair, and through my nightgown. It was so good to be able to breathe after a particularly scary nightmare. I could no longer find sleep, and thanks to the fact that it was in the early hours of dawn, I decided to wait until the sun was up.I went to the music room, and tried to keep myself busy by finding an instrument to play, but it felt like someone was
