Chapter 109 : The Other Nephalem

We both took a seat at one of the tables in the small cafe. Cole sits across the table from me and starts reading the menu while I just stare out the window.

"This feels weird," I said with a small smile.

"What?" he asked, looking up.

"This is it. It feels like everything is back to normal. Like I was not kidnapped a few days ago."

"Yeah..." He muttered as he looked down. "Let's just hope it stays like this," he said, and I nodded in agreement.

The two of us quickly ordered our food, and as we started to eat, my eyes were completely fixed on his eyes.

"So," I said, resting my elbows on the table, "tell me about what you have been doing these past few months." Then he finished his chew of food and put down his cutlery.

"Well..." He talked while adjusting his sitting position. "I guess when I first left, I just wanted to get away. Make sure that you are safe and just... try to forget about it." He picked up the time to take a small pause. "But it did not take long for me
