The innocent is punished

DAPHNE’S POV

“Uhh, yes, don’t stop,” I heard different moans coming from the barn of the pack. I wanted to walk away but I couldn’t. The voice of the lady sounded so much like Luna Cecilia’s voice.

I needed to make sure I was wrong, or else I would always carry this thought in my head. I walked closer to the door of the barn, then I slightly opened it.

Lo and behold, I saw Luna Cecilia having sex with Alpha Darius, the junior brother to her mated husband, the alpha king.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, the Luna queen was cheating on the alpha King with his brother.

I was supposed to mind my business and walk away but the morals I learned from my late mother didn’t let me.

Without giving it a second thought, I rushed into the room and interrupted whatever was going on in there.

“I will exposé the two of you to the alpha king,” I announced, not realizing that I was making a very big mistake. They immediately put on their clothes.

“How dare you?” She quizzed in a fit of rage and immediately attacked me. I tried to free myself from her grip and slaps but I couldn’t.

Alpha Darius stood in a corner, still putting on his clothes. Luna Cecilia continued to pull my head but there was nothing I could do. She was royalty, so I dared not lay my hands on her.

“Darius rush now and get the alpha King,” she suddenly commanded Darius.

I tried to understand why she was sending for the alpha king when she knew that I could spill out everything that I just witnessed if she called for Alpha Zade.

“You little wrench, I am going to show you where you belong for trying to meddle in a business that didn’t concern you,” she blurted and fell to the floor at once.

Before I could say anything, she picked a small stone and used it to bruise her forehead, blood began to drop from the bruise. Why on earth did she make such a psychotic move?

I moved closer to her, to help stop the bleeding. “Are you crazy my lady? Why bring harm to yourself? Please get up before anyone sees you in this position,” I pleaded.

To my dismay, all she did was look at me and let out an evil smile.

Seeing that she wasn’t ready to listen, I began to gently help her stand, at that same time, Alpha Zade walked in with Alpha Darius.

She quickly forced herself to fall again and began to shed so many tears, that anyone who had no idea of what happened would think she was traumatized.

“What is going on here? Why are you on the floor?” Alpha Zade thundered.

While he asked those questions, his gaze was strictly on me, which meant that he thought that I did all that to the Luna. I knew I had to defend myself immediately. “My lord,” I greeted, then knelt before him. “Luna…

Before I could complete what I wanted to say, Luna Cecilia chipped in, trying to overlap me.

“Baby, this lowly maid attacked me.” Her lie came as a heavy blow to my face.

“What!” I exclaimed.

“One more word from you and you will cease to live!” Alpha Zade ordered, he was not looking so furious. The anger he exuded made me fear for my own life.

My eyes became teary as I realized that I was helpless. Alpha Zade walked to his lady and knelt beside her.

“Did she do this to you?” He inquired while caressing her cheek, in a comforting way.

She increased her cry while pretending to feel pains around her body.

“Yes, she did. She wanted to steal this priceless bracelet you gifted me but I didn’t let her, so she became violet. I was lucky to have your brother come to my rescue,” Cecilia lied without mincing words.

“That’s not true my lord, she is ly….

“I warned you not to speak, didn’t I?” Alpha Zade asked and charged at me. In the fleet of a moment, he dragged me up by my elbow and dashed two hot slaps across my cheek, causing me to fall to the ground again.

He turned to Darius and gave me an order that made me feel really scared. “Darius, prepare a meeting now, make sure that all the pack members are present. Ask the guards to take this foolish girl there too.”

After he made that order, he picked Cecilia and walked away, leaving me behind with Darius.

“Please do not do this to me, tell the Alpha king that Luna Cecilia lied against me,” I begged him.

All of a sudden he started laughing in a loud tone. “Were you not the naive girl that wanted to expose us to the Alpha king a few minutes ago? Where has that boldness disappeared to?”

What had I done to myself? I thought while shedding so many tears, that the pain from the slaps I had received was still very fresh on my skin.

“Please help me, I promise to do anything you ask of me.”

As soon as he had the promise I made, he came close to me and began to roam his hands around my body, this made me scared.

“Are you sure you can do anything for my help?”

I could tell where this was heading. He wanted me to lose my morals and principles, never! I would never let my mom down in such a despicable manner.

“I am trying hard to not believe that you intend to have my body,” I voiced, indirectly laying out the accusation.

“Do not try to act all innocent with me. A beautiful girl like you must have been used by different men, so I am sure you wouldn’t mind offering your body to me in exchange for my support.”

What a disgusting man! I couldn’t hold myself, I spat on his face not caring how enraged or furious he would get.

“You this little fool!” He shouted and grabbed me by my hair. “I thought I could make a deal with you but on second thought, you do not even deserve it. After the Alpha king has given you a suitable punishment, I’ll make sure I have my way with you,” he shamelessly told me.

This wasn’t something new. Here in the ELISIVA pack, the high ranks didn’t care about those of us who were poor. No one spoke on our behalf, all they did was trample upon us and this was the reason for the death of my parents.

Soon he asked the guards to take me to the pack square, where most of the pack members had already gathered and were waiting.

Minutes later, Alpha Zade and Lady Cecilia walked in, holding each other hand in hand. If only Alpha Zade knew that this woman was cheating on him.

“I have summoned this meeting tonight because this low life here dared to lay a hand on my Luna,” Alpha Zade informed them all. Everyone began to murmur amongst themselves.

I wanted to speak for myself but I knew it would end up being abortive. No one was going to believe me over the Luna.

In the ELISIVA pack, the poor would always remain wrong while royalty would remain right.

“Because of her disrespect to my Luna.

I, Alpha Zade, thereby state that she is banished from this pack. After tonight, I never want to see your face again.”

“No please do not do this to me,” I fell to the ground and started begging him but he snubbed me and left the arena.

Still, on the ground, Darius whispered into my ear. “Do not be quick to leave, I must have your body before you disappear from this pack.”
