Leonie looked at me with her eyes round in shock. Is that what she thought of me? She thought I was the wicked Alpha? I groaned inwardly, annoyed. I could see the way the gold strands almost slid out of her braids. It looked like she was just waking up from her bed. The though stilled me. Glaring at her for making me feel such an emotion, I signalled for her to get up.

She didn’t move.

“Are you dumb? Get up, damn it! I snapped angrily.

She gasped in shock as she stood up on her feet, knocking the basket to the ground. I mentally screamed. This wasn’t the type of mate that I had wanted at all. How could someone be so clumsy? Bloody humans!
