Chapter 65

LEONIE

The heat of the day was brutal, but I honestly didn’t mind much because I was having a good time, strangely. After what happened at home, I didn’t think my day would go smoothly, but it was the exact opposite that was happening. I was honestly having so much fun, and being the best version of myself which I never thought I would be.

Ok, I’m exaggerating because it wasn’t my aura that was making me happy, but it was that of Alpha Gunnolf. My eyes settled on him as he went about talking with the plant processing workers who sat in group of trees, peeling seeds and removing leaves as they placed it in the sun or a weird looking basket to brink out its juice.

Despite how strenuous the task was, they were having so much fun doing it. And, they always looked at Alpha Gunnolf like he was a form of light that had been sent to them. It was so amazing watching these things take fruition.

A smile touched my lips as I watched Alpha Gunnolf move with such grace that floored me to my knees
