I swallowed the lump in my throat as I looked at the wolf. To my horror, it went away. I had no idea what was happening. This place was definitely not safe for me, and the queen was nowhere to be found.

Did I just have so much faith that she will hear the whistle from where she was? Ok, this place was weird, but that was definitely not possible. I looked back at the whistle. Maybe, I should blow it again?

It was possible I didn’t blow on it right because of my lack of strength. I placed the whistle in my mouth, and was about to blow on it, when the guards slowly stepped in.
