41: Rot In Hell

Cora’s POV

I half wanted to slam the basement doors shut as I left but I knew it’d only rack up more trouble for me, especially when I was trying to remain calm and protect Nina’s identity. In anger, I stomped my feet all the way till I got back to my room.

Blind with rage I opened the door and slammed it hard without looking around the room.

“You’re going to explode at this rate” A voice spoke and I was so startled that I almost jumped out of my skin as I turned around.

Only to notice that Nina was laying on my bed with her eyes trained on the ceiling and in a visibly sour mood.

“It's just you, god, you scared me Nina” I told her as I bolted the locks on the door since we couldn't risk being caught in each other’s company.

“After the hazing we just went through, I felt like we needed to talk or something, I'll leave if it's a pr—”

“Nina, relax” She’d already sat up on the bed to leave when I cut her off.
