He felt something for her, I knew he did.

One of the benefits that came with being a spell caster was the ability to read people, and despite my impatient nature, the second my intuition poked me towards anyone’s odd behavior, I was quick to observe them patiently and figure out the cause.

Luckily, Kai was one of the few persons that I’d become an expert at reading because I’d started to read him the second I got my gifts. I’d been observing his behavior around Cora and towards things that concerned her for the past few days and I absolutely hated the conclusion I’d drawn up.

I hated that my readings had led me to realize that Kai felt something for Cora, I wasn't sure what exactly it was….

A heightened form of attraction? Some twisted attachment? A growing silly crush?
