Chapter 11, V for Vintage Manor I

Serena’s POV:

Finally, I got to leave the hospital today. The nurses have been helping me pack up my things from the room, into a bag. It's been three days and I'm starting to get cranky in here. I sat on the hospital bed, flipping through a magazine. Mr Vincent had to go to work but chose to come see me first. He is standing nearby, checking his phone.

Vincent smiles at me “I'm so glad you're feeling better. How about we make this weekend memorable? You deserve some luxury after being cooped up here.”

I smiled “That sounds nice, but I don't want to be a burden”, my smile was weak, being cooped up in here for that long made me feel more stressed out. What I should be doing is resting, and not making memorable nights with Mr Vincent.

Mr Vincent places his hands on my shoulder. “Nonsense. It's settled then. You're coming with me.”

“I'll be fine, sir. Thank you though, for the thought and consideration. Nice gesture coming from you”, I teased him so he wouldn't feel bad about me not taki
