Lillian's POV

Waiting for Lucas's response felt like an eternity, and before I could even hear his answer, Dad stepped inside the room.

"Let's go," he said, but Lucas remained frozen.

My heart beat loudly as I waited for him to stand up.

Telling him that I am pregnant was a bad idea. What if he couldn't accept it?

What if he calls off the engagement? I know Dad will kill me if that happens.
