Chapter 50: Killing

Amelia was only briefly at the police station after being arrested earlier.

Amelia's heart pounded in her chest as she was led out of the police station, her hands cuffed behind her back. She had known that her actions would catch up to her eventually, but she had never imagined it would end like this.

Amelia had already committed many crimes, and her most recent crime was a capital offense.

The policemen who escorted her were silent, their faces expressionless. Amelia tried to plead with them, to explain that she had made a mistake, but they ignored her. Instead, they pushed her into the back of a waiting car and blindfolded her.

As the car drove through the streets of the city, Amelia's mind raced. She knew that she was in trouble, but she had no idea what was going to happen to her. All she could do was pray that she would make it out of this alive.
