Chapter 3: Chasing me

This morning sucks! I don't know where to hide in the corner of the school. Arcanum Academy is huge but the students here are not humans. Most of them are powerful, they can track me wherever I go.

Now that I'm out of Adam's presence, I'm sure, tons of she-wolves will hunt me. From the cafeteria, just as Adam changed his path, I quickly ran to the back.

I'm getting suffocated by the situation, I feel like the she-wolves are making a way to catch me. 

I reached the hallway, it was a bit dark since the windows were still closed. Those here are also classrooms but their class starts near noon. I briefly looked behind me to check if anyone is following me or nah. When I realized that there was nothing, I quickly headed to the end until I reached the two hallways in different directions. 

I know the hallway that goes to the left, there is a staircase at the end going up. On the right it goes to the back. I chose the right and that's where I went tentatively.

I don't know if I can escape this situation. But if I were to bet on whether I would survive or be caught, the percentage I would bet was greater to 'I would be caught.'

For them, I have no right to Alpha Prince since I am only a Beta's daughter. And those Alpha Princesses are mated to him, but he is only mated to one, in other words, he will be the one to choose who he will make his Luna if he takes over his father's throne. 

"Where do you think you're going?"

My feet automatically froze on the floor and did not act to continue my escape because it is still no use. I just clenched my fist and took a deep breath and act like I am not afraid. 

I just faced her and answered, "Don't stop me, please! I want to escape from the clutches of Prince Adam."

Her lips form an o and says, "So, you want to change the situation through pretending that Prince Adam is chasing you?"

I retorts, "He's smart, he can turn a situation in his favor, well, he just used his black card on me—"

But she snapped me, "What rank are you again? Beta Princess right? You think I'll believe you?"

I looked away, the Alpha Prince was too polished to trip me up. No one would really believe that he would be attracted to me since I'm just a low-key Beta Princess.

But I still spoke to make her understand my side, "He's powerful, if he doesn't like me messing with him—as if I'm messing with him, honestly no! But he can use his power to stop me from getting close to him."

Nothing else came out of her mouth but, "Liar!"

I still cling to that little bit of hope with the words, "Believe me, Narnia!"

It's still useless, the color of her eyes has changed; she can hurt me at any time. I have no choice but to do everything to escape. I can't waste my time with her before the other Alpha Princesses see me.

She's just a normal wolf and she doesn't have powers like the others. So I still have a chance to escape. When her feet stepped rushing towards me, I met her pace through sliding on the floor for her not to touch me.

She yells, "You can't escape from me, Dessy!'

She can run faster than I was since she was using her wolf strength but since my father trained me in this kind of ability, I can trick her with it. I was sneaking through the hallways as she keep chasing me.

There were times when she caught me but I just slipped out of her hands. This is the only difference between us, I have the ability of an assassin's. My father taught me different types of martial arts but it was no match against the powerful werewolves.

My strength is only the strongest human. I'm still weak when it comes to werewolves. Narnia was already irritated by chasing me so I heard her huffing. "Do you think you can escape from me? You get tired faster compared to me! And once you're tired you can't heal yourself because you don't have a wolf!"

She's right, I'm currently short of breath and my chest is heaving from exhaustion, but she, her energy seems to be intact.

I tried to stand up straight and step back especially since I was only a few steps to came out from the building. She followed me when someone suddenly yells, "Give her to me, Narnia!"

I gulped down the lump in my throat. When I spun around to face the other one, I saw the Alpha Princess of the Black Claws pack. She has the power of fire and once she touches me, my skin will surely burn.

She went on, "I'm the one who should punish her because I'm the only mate of Prince Adam."

Narnia retorts, "I'm also mated to him!"

"But there's only one Alpha Princess who should be his Luna, and that's not you Narnia, so stop dreaming!" 

Since Lira was more powerful than Narnia, Narnia didn't protest but just huffed.

But me, I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes. Since I had no escape, I sat down on the grass and threw myself down. I asks in a sarcastic way, "Do you want to kill me? Then go!"

I felt Lira's step closer to me while smirking, "Do you think I'm going to give you that easily? Of course not! I'd rather you to suffer first!"

"You can't do that, Lira!" I automatically raised my head to look at the male voice that spoke. My brows knitted when I saw Lucas walking towards us. He's our Alpha Prince in Multa Lupus pack, but that doesn't mean he's on my side. Honestly, he is Adam's best friend.

Lira and Narnia also looked at him in astonishment and looked at me as well. Lucas went on, "You won't like the outcome once you hurt her." He looked at Lira for a moment and glanced at me.

Lira asks, "What do you mean?"

Lucas replied, "You'll find out soon." He looked at me, "Come with me, Dessy."

Since he is my Alpha Prince, I didn't protest. I got up and stood dusting myself. I asks, "Where are we going?"

He answered, "To Adam."

I automatically exclaimed, "Again?!" When I looked at Lira and Narnia, they were both gaping in disbelief.
