Liam, gripping his baseball bat tightly, took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself. He shouldn't feel nervous right now; he should keep his calm to assure his and the others safety. The weight of the upcoming confrontation was settling on his shoulders. "We can handle this. Just stick to the plan, and we'll get through it," he said, nodding his head. He was so sure.

As the first zombies came into view, the group tensed almost as soon as they saw them, the bus providing a protective barrier between them and the approaching threat. The eerie glow of their lifeless eyes reflected the moonlight, creating an unsettling spectacle.
