Chapter 38

Tessa’s POV

I scoffed in disbelief. “You’ve gone mad!”

“Didn’t I tell you earlier? My mother died when I was five years old, a-and I saw my Mom’s picture. She’s not her!”

He laughed. Like a devil who had gone completely mad, Alpha Ralph laughed. He tightened his hold on Cassandra’s hair, making her yelp. “Is she not? Well, why don’t we ask her?”

“Leave her alone, Ralph! She’s just a child!” Cassandra shouted. She raised her hands and held onto his wrist, trying to lessen the pressure on her scalp.

“Oh, right! How unmannered of me!” he exclaimed, slapping his hand on the forehead, which in turn caused Cassandra to fall on her butt on the ground beside me.

Leaning down, Alpha Ralpha caressed Cassandra’s face so gently as he stared into her eyes with those devilish glints. “I should give you some time with your daughter, right? After all, you haven’t seen her for seventeen years.”

With that, he turned around and went to the door made of silver.
