“He fucking kicked my ass!” I plunged myself into the ice bath at the Lodge.

“Stop your whining,” Mark quipped. Though I could see the faint look of concern on his face that I was so sore after only two hours.

“Did you go easy on him?” Seth asked, only half-paying attention.

I glared at Seth in answer, focusing on the bite of the ice water as it hit my skin. Ethan had departed a few minutes ago to return to his hotel where the party was being held later this evening. He was barely winded while I was too sore to move if I didn’t work out these muscles first.

“He’s incredible,” I told Mark. “You can tell he’s been putting in crazy hours. He’s just… unstoppable.”
