CHAPTER 37

A few minutes later, Brad walked up to her while on the ground. She lifted her head to stare at him. He looked pissed off. Cassandra was behind him.

"Come on," he offered his hand to her. She held his hands and stood up.

"Were you able to get him?" She asked. Lara won't be surprised if he escaped. He seemed like he knew everywhere in the palace.

"No, he suddenly disappeared like he was never here. How are you?" Brad asked, touching the tiny cut on her lips. It was already healing.

"I'm fine," she smiled and let go of his hands. They had agreed to keep their relationship a secret for now so she could not be seen holding Brad's hands.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He frowned. She bit her lips as she glanced at Cassandra behind her. Why did she have to yell?

"There was nothing to tell, I'm fine. I'm sorry for causing an alarm. You can go back to what you were doing," she waved him off.

Brad wasn't having it. If she thought by trying to push him away, she'll be able to get off the hook
