Chapter 29

"Have you tested the waters before you start complaining?" Aurora furrowed her eyebrows and asked Felix.

He lifted his shoulder and dropped it. Uncertainty was as clear as day on his face.

"Violet wants a better life than the one she's living and I cannot give that to her." He said with a sigh.

Aurora knew what Felix said was true. Her sister wanted a man that could give her pretty expensive stuff. Felix's small wage couldn't do much but Aurora thought that maybe Violet would open her eyes and notice that there was someone who still notice her. Aurora didn't know where her sister got that silly idea of hers. If men were running away from her, why was Felix still there? Why won't she notice him?

"You do have a point but you are doing more harm than good when you conceal your feelings." Aurora said.

She was never in love but she knew a thing or two from the books she read to know that love was a dangerous feeling. It is good in many ways but in some circumstances, it can be a danger
