176 - End of the war

In the midst of a vast, open plain, Eskaal approached Meagia with a sense of urgency that mirrored the rapid beating of his heart. The moon cast a silver glow over the grassy expanse, and the night air was filled with a chilling stillness.

Meagia stood alone, her form illuminated by the pale light of the moon. Her brow was furrowed with worry, and her eyes scanned the horizon in a frantic search. In her arms, she held a tiny blanket, empty and forlorn.

"Meagia," Eskaal said, his voice quivering with fear and desperation, "Where is our daughter, Seraphina? I can't find her anywhere in the castle."

Meagia turned to him, her face etched with anguish. Her voice trembled as she responded, "Eskaal, I don't know. I though Rancel put her in the castle somewhere but she is gone. The cradle had some other unknown child in it."

Eskaal's heart sank like a stone in his chest. He rushed to Meagia's side, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Gone? How could she just vanish like that?"
