MIA
I woke up with a start and frowned. I recognized the room I was in. It was the flashy and fully furnished bedroom Javier had given me when I arrived at his penthouse.“What happened?” I asked no one in particular, groaning and massaging my temples.Someone knocked softly on my door before it opened gently and Javier’s handsome face came into my view.He had striking silver eyes with silver-platinum hair that looked tousled and rough, almost like he had just stepped out of the bed.His handsome face looked worried and his thick brow was knitted together in concern. His full red lips parted softly as he spoke.“Are you alright?” he asked, standing at a safe distance.I frowned, his muscular frame seemed to fill up my entire doorway and his perfume filled my nostrils. He exuded an aura of sexiness and masculine power. It was odd because I rarely had time to find guys attractive.“Why are you standing so far away?” I asked my frown still firmly in place.Javier wiggled his hands like he was a schoolboy. The look didn't suit him at all, given his macho look but it made him look adorable.“I didn't want to scare you,” he answered. My frown deepened, “Why would I be scared of you? You rescued me from that crazy man and I must have passed out because I had a crazy dream.”I laughed as I thought about the slightly blurry dream I had. My head must have been knocked out or something because my imagination seemed to be getting intense.Javier’s concerned look turned into a frown, “You don't remember?”“Don’t do it, Javier,” Ivan’s voice came across the hallway as he strolled into my bedroom.I grabbed the duvet up to my chest and frowned at him.“You don't know the meaning of privacy or knocking, Ivan?”Ivan shrugged, “So Javier is allowed to be here if you're not properly dressed?”Ivan stared at Javier and grinned, while I blushed furiously as I realized what I had insinuated.“Seems the mate bond is working already, eh, brother?” Ivan asked in a teasing voice.“Not now, Ivan,” Javier hissed.I frowned, “What is he talking about, Javier?”Ivan rolled his eyes, “I thought we were already past this? Why does it seem like you're trying to push everything you witnessed away?”“What do you mean?” I asked, a scowl forming on my lips.“You didn't have a nightmare, Mia, you passed out when I shifted to my wolf form before you,” Javier answered guiltily.I inched up in the bed, my heartbeat increasing as the vivid scene I had witnessed in the sitting room flashed in my mind-eye.I let out a piercing scream as I scrambled away from the bed and ran toward the bathroom, fear coursing through my veins.“Oh my gosh! Omg! Holy shit!” I exclaimed, swearing in every word I knew.“Please, calm down,” Javier said, trying to reach out for me.I screamed, “Get away from me! What are you? Demon? Monster? Beast? What sort of cruel joke is this?”I saw Javier’s face crumple with pain at my words and he quietly took a step back, standing at my doorway.“I wanna go home,” I stated, firmly.“You don't have a…” Javier started to say but I interrupted him sharply.“Now! I want to leave this place immediately,” I shrieked.“Listen here, Mia, I have tolerated your nonsense enough—” Ivan started saying but was interrupted by a low growl from Javier.“Don’t talk to her like that!” he snapped.“—I’m not your mate and I won't stand for your stupidity!” Ivan snapped, continuing his words and ignoring Javier.“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked him in a challenging tone, “That I should believe whatever freak show Javier put up for me? Is this supposed to be a kind of alternate reality or something?”“Trust me if it’s an alternate reality I'd rather be drowning in a pool of drinks than helping my brother try to convince you that werewolves are real and he's one and he's your fucking mate!” Ivan snapped.I stayed silent for fifteen seconds before I glared at him.“No!” I said firmly, “I refuse to believe your delusions. If this is an elaborate way to hold me hostage then it’s not gonna work! Let me out of this freaking place!”“Fine!” Ivan snapped, “You wanna leave, there is the door. Go get yourself killed for all I care but do not drag my brother down with you!”I stared at the doorway which Javier was standing by and sighed. Ivan had shown emotion for the first time since I met him and he wasn't acting like his regular douche self. He was still a douche but it looked like he was being a bigger douche to protect his brother.“This is crazy,” I shook my head, before bursting into laughter, “How am I supposed to believe that werewolves exist, and what the fuck is this mate thing you're talking about?”“Maybe if you calmed down for two seconds then Javier can explain it to you,” Ivan snapped.I noticed Javier didn't make any effort to interrupt Ivan or warn him with the way he was talking to me.He seemed to have resigned to fate and to let me do whatever I wanted with the way his shoulders slouched a bit.“I'd like to go home, Javier, you told me once we're far from Leo I can leave,” I stated firmly.“It’s dangerous, Mia, and you're hours away from your home,” Javier said in a stressed voice.“I can take care of myself,” I snapped. He nodded, “Very well. Can I at least drive you back?”I didn't want to spend any second with him especially not after claiming to be something he isn't. He must have conned me and used theatrics to get me to stay with him.“That’s not a good idea, Javier,” Ivan sulked.“Just drop it, Ivan,” Javier sighed.I frowned, “Why don't you want him to go with me, Ivan?”“Because you're leaving my brother. And as much as I act like this I still care about him and I don't want him to get hurt,” Ivan replied snippy. That was when I heard the voice in my head which changed my life forever.‘He’s our mate, Mia, we can't leave him like that he's going to be so heartbroken.’Hi guys, welcome to my second book! MIA“Who said that?” Javier and Ivan stared at me like I was speaking a different language. “Who said that?!” I repeated my question this time with more force. Ivan glared at me and looked away, “Is this an elaborate ruse to stay? All you have to do is admit you wanna stay.”I scoffed, “I heard a voice in my head. It’s not a ruse, trust me, the last thing I want is to be here with you.”“Wait… you heard a voice in your head?” Javier asked. “Never mind, I wanna go home,” I snapped, “I’m starting to get delusional here.”“But what if…” Javier started to say but Ivan interrupted him sharply. “You don't honestly think she's a werewolf, do you? She's too naive to be one besides she doesn't smell like one,” Ivan scoffed in his usual condescending tone. I rolled my eyes at him ignoring all the insults in his words and focused on one word, “I don't wanna be delusional like y’all. Besides, I don't wanna be a beast either.”Javier looked away and Ivan scoffed but they both said nothing. N
JAVIER “Classic move, Bro.”I glanced at Ivan who was standing behind me and snickered as I watched Mia run into the hospital. I frowned, my brows furrowed in confusion. “What are you doing here? Did you follow us?” I asked him.I glanced at the man whose constant honking had interrupted the moment I was having with Mia and I scowled. He seemed to notice me and he scoffed. “You don't get all lovey-dovey in a hospital car park especially when you're parked wrongly,” he mumbled before stalking off toward the hospital. A low growl left my lips as I stared daggers at the back of his head while Ivan chuckled softly beside me. “Relax, Bro, he's not the cause of your problem,” Ivan laughed. I glared at him, “Seriously, what are you doing here?” Ivan shrugged, “I couldn't allow you to go alone without backup. What if you needed my help or something?”I raised an eyebrow at him, signifying that I didn't believe a word of what he said. “Okay, I wanted to know if you would try to convinc
MIA“How dare you show your face here after what you've done?!”My lips curled into a snarl as I glared at my uncle, fury washing over me as I remembered what he had done. “Is that what you say to someone who you just bumped into?” my uncle asked, adjusting his tie nervously. His eyes scanned the crowd nervously and I realized he was scared and probably scanning the crowd for cops. “I'm not alone,” I said to him.He cleared his throat nervously, “We can talk about this, Mia.”I walked away from him, my eyes scanning the crowd for any familiar face. “What are you doing here?” I asked him. “I came to check up on your mom,” he answered. I scoffed, “So you sold me off to become a whore and you're suddenly taking care of my mother?”“Whore? What are you talking about, Mia?” my uncle laughed nervously. “Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about!” I snapped at him, “You and that doctor drugged me.”“He gave you an injection to help you relax. He said you won't be availa

A/N: Dedicated to Karin Mc and Tcee EkeLEONARDI woke up with a gasp, massaging my temples as I groaned and felt something dry at the back of my head. With the way my head was throbbing I knew that it was dried blood I had felt at the back of my head. “Rufus!” I yelled, standing up and looking around with a frown. The basement was empty and my new slave was nowhere to be found. “Rufus!” I snarled, my howl echoing through the house. I heard a slight mumble before footsteps thundered down the steps. “Where were you?” I asked with a snarl. “We got held up a little, someone broke in and tranquilized us,” he answered. My fist connected with his jaw instantly sending him flying backwards. I stood up and strode toward him as he raised his hand in surrender. “Please, Alpha, have mercy,” he pleaded. “What's your usefulness to me if you can't stop people from breaking into my home?” I yelled at him. He massaged his jaw, blood trickling down his lips, and raised his other hand in surr
MIA“That’s the man who kidnapped me!” I cried out the moment I saw Leo enter my mom’s ward. I ran toward the policeman and held him, hiding behind his back, fear evident in my eyes. “Please, help me, he's the man who kidnapped me, he's going to hurt me,” I cried. A flash of the fire poker he wanted to use and brand me flashed in my mind's eye and goosebumps crawled up my arms. “Please, calm down, Miss, you're coming with us to the station,” the policeman said. Leo walked up to him and smiled, “That won't be necessary now, Officer, I will take her back.”“Are you sure because…” Leonard interrupted him sharply, “Yes. That will be all thanks to you for your help.”As he walked up to me I attempted to run but he whispered in my ears.“How many seconds do you reckon I could snap your mother’s neck faster than you'd run out of here or even faster than the police can pull their trigger?” he asked. His question scared me as I stared at my mom’s peaceful face. I didn't want to drag her
MIAI woke up with a gasp as I looked around my surroundings and realized I was back in that same basement Javier had rescued me from. “Mmff!” I mumbled. My eyes widened in horror as I realized I was gagged.I tried to move my legs and I found out I was chained but fortunately, I wasn't in a cage. The basement was dimly lit and my head hurt like hell. There wasn't any blood or pain on my face and I vividly recalled his cruel words from earlier. “I wouldn't want to ruin your face, slave, I want to watch you cry as I tame you,” he had said earlier before he knocked me hard over the head and I passed out. “Mfffk!” I tried to scream but the gag in my mouth restricted me. “Keep quiet, your voice will only attract him here and I'm sure you don't want that,” a voice said behind me. Startled, I whirled around and saw a girl sitting at the edge of the wall. She was a bit hidden as the light in the basement didn't reach her face. “Oh hi, you're not alone here,” she chuckled wryly. “Wifh
