“Who said that?”

Javier and Ivan stared at me like I was speaking a different language.

“Who said that?!” I repeated my question this time with more force.

Ivan glared at me and looked away, “Is this an elaborate ruse to stay? All you have to do is admit you wanna stay.”

I scoffed, “I heard a voice in my head. It’s not a ruse, trust me, the last thing I want is to be here with you.”

“Wait… you heard a voice in your head?” Javier asked.

“Never mind, I wanna go home,” I snapped, “I’m starting to get delusional here.”

“But what if…” Javier started to say but Ivan interrupted him sharply.

“You don't honestly think she's a werewolf, do you? She's too naive to be one besides she doesn't smell like one,” Ivan scoffed in his usual condescending tone.

I rolled my eyes at him ignoring all the insults in his words and focused on one word, “I don't wanna be delusional like y’all. Besides, I don't wanna be a beast either.”
