I dropped to my knees on the chilly stone floor, clenching my fists together and pleading with these bastards. Putting aside the last shreds of my pride, I pleaded like a common beggar.

Tears ran down my cheeks, dripping off my chin. But I didn't care. All that mattered was to get Vespa out of here, or else I would have turned a blind eye.

My daughter couldn't marry that evil, twisted being. My coven members imprisoned her, planning to force her to wed the demonic Prince of Darkness.

Tears trembled on my eyelids, choking me. "Please, my sisters, I beg you," I cried out. "Release my daughter. I promise I'll do anything you ask. I will even marry the Prince of Darkness myself, just let her go.”

The elder witches who surrounded the entrance to the house burst into loud, wicked laughter and some younger ones joined in their mirth.

Their eyes glimmered in delight at my pleas for their mercy. They stood before me, smiling cruelly.
