Chapter 48 Dying Alone

Third Person's POV

The phone slipped from Hughes's fingers and his hand dropped to his side. Hughes looked to the sky as he laid there choking on his blood.

So many thoughts and images flashed before his eyes.

Aside from his childhood memories, the images of his mates flash before his eyes.

More tears ran down Hughes' face as he realized he would die without ever being loved by either of his mates, and it was all his fault.

Hughes tries to think of those that love him, and he suddenly feels so alone.

He struggles to breathe before choking on his blood again. He feels the warm spray of his blood, as it splashes on his face while he coughs.

He feels cold, but the liquid running down his body is so warm.
