Dahlia had never ignored my call. In the rare times she missed it when she was busy, she made sure to call back or leave a text. This time, however, it was very fucking obvious she was ignoring my class because as soon as I called her the second time to check up on her, she turned off her phone.

The problem was that I didn’t know why. I didn’t remember doing anything to upset her and she had sounded normal on the call in the afternoon when she told me she told me she had plans with her roommates.

I stared at my phone, wondering what to do. Her location showed she was at home, so at least, that meant she was safe, but I still couldn’t figure out if anything went wrong between us.

When I thought of it though, she started acting weird since Monday, which was the day Juan left my house. He had been sleeping on the couch and Dahlia had been cool with him. Did she secretly hate him? Or hate what we did on Saturday night? Was that the problem?
