I watched as Cassandra played and joked with the others and smiled to myself. I knew I was fading, but the time I would leave was when the necklace returned to its rightful owner. To identical persons, the one from the past and the future couldn't live in the present together. One of them had to die for the other to live. And in this case, I had to live, because the things of the past are past. I had to become an atmosphere that Casssandra could thrive in, for Cassandra to fully live her life, one of us had to fade away. I was her and she was me...she had to become who she was fully, so yeah, I had to give myself away. It was a sacrifice that I was willing to make, because I understood that clinging to the past would only hinder her growth.
