ALDER’S POV.

Two weeks later,

After my incident with Jack, I refused to come out of my room except during lunch or when I needed to train which happened to be in the middle of the night because I didn't want to be disturbed by anyone or how people stared at me like I was some pitiful wolf

My parents weren't around as they had to leave the pack for some urgent meeting with the council, all orders came from Jack. He was acting as the Beta in the absence of the Alpha

I was throwing heavy punches in the air when the mindlink came through

" Alpha!"

At first, I thought I misheard it because I wasn't Alpha anymore but then it came again

"Alpha!"

This time, I paused and stared into space, opening my mind to accept the link

" Are you trying to reach me?" I asked shocked

" There are rogues at the East border. We need your help"

Not bothering to ask for more information, I shifted, allowing Crown to take over and headed straight for the border
