ALDER’S POV.

I woke up with a start, my breath came out in pants and my heart was beating way too fast. My gaze was fixed on the ceiling as I tried to control my breathing and at the same time try to remember what exactly made me wake up with so much fear.

It was a dream, no.......a nightmare but I have no idea what it's about. I remembered that the last thing on my mind was Cassandra

I growled " That evil bitch! Even in my sleep she won't let me rest."

I stood up from the bed and headed for the fridge in my room. Grabbing the chilled bottle of water, I downed it all in one go and that seemed to calm my beating heart a bit

Although I was finally relaxes, the fear was still fresh in my mind. Did Cassandra come back to take revenge? Did she perhaps kill my chosen mate because I rejected her?

" No no no." I shook my head "That's not possible. She's dead. She took her own life because she was too weak to do anything else. What a waste of Earth's space and resources"

I slammed the door of my room shut and walked out of the pack house. I can't wait to finally become Alpha, so that I can finally move into my own apartment

As I walked among the people of my pack, most of them smiled at me, others nodded but all in all they all showed me respect and that's when I realized that if not for myself, I need to find a stronger and better Luna for my people. The Luna is like the glue that holds the pack together, without a Luna, my pack will become a laughing stock

A feeling of dread washed over me, I could only imagine what would happen if they found out that I found my mate but rejected her

Would they hate me?

" No, they'll agree with you. A pack cannot survive with a weak and feeble wolfless Luna." I heard Crown whisper into my head

I sighed, I need to go for a run.

CASSANDRA’S POV.

Shock was an understatement to what I felt at the moment.

I stared at the Alpha with wide eyes, if it wasn't for fear of losing my head, I would have asked him if he hit his head on the way back to the pack

Even though I almost committed suicide, I'm still very grateful for this second chance at life

"What do you mean by that Alpha?" I asked lowly

Alpha Vincenzo chuckled and patted her head softly, " You'll understand in due time. For now why don't we go in and see what my Luna is up to, hmm?"

I could only nod my head and follow him into the huge mansion, Mrs Smith was right behind us

I'm still trying to understand what the Alpha meant by what he said but if I heard him clearly, that would mean...........that he knew who my real parents are

The revelation shook me to the core as I realized that all my life, I've been living a lie and unless my foster parents knew who my birth parents are, they also think I'm human.

"Cassie dear" I was brought back to reality by the sound of the Luna calling me

I stared at her smiling face and I felt at peace.

She looked so ethereal and I'm even starting to question if she's truly a wolf because she could easily pass off as an angel

She held my hands again as she did earlier and led me to sit on a soft white sofa

" Why don't you tell me everything about yourself while we wait for Seth to get ready" She smiled again

Get ready? For what?

I stared down " Uhm.... Well there's not really much to know about me. My name is Cassandra JoAnn Bellevue from Sky Prowlers Pack. I.... My parents are Elisa and Marcus Bellevue and I have an older brother, Jack Bellevue."

" Oh!" The Luna smiled but her eyes looked sad for just a fleeting second

" How did you end up coming here than, dear?" Alpha Vincenzo asked calmly

" Well, I am a wolfless werewolf, Alpha. My pack sees me as weak and feeble, always needing protection but my family never complained, infact they love me either way.........or at least I thought they did" Tears filled my eyes and s lump grew in my throat as I remember the incident that led to me taking my life or trying to

"What happened to you?" The Luna asked this time

" I just turned 18 and I found my mate. His name is Alder Lewiston, the future Alpha of Sky Prowlers Pack. The day I found out I went to his room to tell him but he insulted me and refused to accept me. He rejected me"

Luna Celina gasped and Mrs Smith whimpered. A rejected mate is as good as dead, it's not very common that mates get rejected because you were supposed to love them at first sight.

The few mentions of mates who were rejected, died out of heart ache and loneliness. Some went rouge and wild and they had to be killed to

" When I refused to accept his rejection, he hit me and beat so badly that I just had to give in. And when I got home to tell my parents the news, I found out that they were not biological parents and just like everyone, they pitied me"

At this rate, Luna Celina had tears coming out of her eyes while Alpha Vincenzo clenched his fist tightly

" At that time, death looked like the easy way out. I decided to take my own life and I thought I did, that's until I woke up and met myself here in your pack" I sniffed, the last thing I wanted was for them to pity me. I've had enough self pity and hate to last me for a life time

Luna Celina, pulled me into her embrace and hugged me tightly, stroking my hair as I sobbed in her embrace

" Let it all out, my child. That's it.......there, there. Let it all out"

And that's exactly what I did. I cried my heart out, at all the injustice and cruelty I suffered in my previous pack.

" You are a strong wolf my dear, you've been through a lot and you came out strong. You even survived death. I'm sure the moon goddess has a good reason for keeping you alive"

Alpha Vincenzo sat at my other side " We'll help you through this Cassie, and you'll come out better than you were while you were at that pack. Your pack just lost a gem and they don't realize it. But I'd like this gem to stay in our pack, would I like that?"

My eyes widened at that " Do you really want me to stay?"

" Of course we do. You are one of us now"

I smiled through my tears and hugged the Alpha tightly "Thank you so much for this, Alpha"

He laughed "You are welcome little one" He looked at Mrs Smith " Thank you so much Georgina, for saving her"

" It's my pleasure, Alpha" Mrs Smith bowed

" Your Majesty. It's time" A guy with white and black hair said and I guess he is Seth

"Alright dear, come on" The Luna smiled at me and although I have no idea what is going on but I know they'll never hurt me

We walked into a huge room and it looked like a hospital.

Seth smiled at me " Just calm down, little wolf. All I need is a little blood"

"For what?"

" Just some test, just to make sure you're okay after that nasty fall you had"

"Okay" I shrugged

I walked down the flowery road side that led to the castle, that's what I call it. It's been three weeks since Luna Celina and Alpha Vincenzo allowed me to stay in Crimson moon and it's been nothing but pure bliss and absolute peace. I've been able to make more friends than I had in my former pack which was close to none.

"Hi Cassie" I turned at the voice of my best friend, Elia. Turns out, this is a pack of Lycans and they are very strong too

"Hey Els. How are you?" I grinned

" Alright. I see you're going to the grand palace" Elia mocked me

"Yes, yes. And I have to hurry because I'm already late"

" Okay bye"

When I got to the castle, I saw the Aloha and Luna having a deep conversation with Seth. They didn't even know when I walked in

" What did you find out, Seth?"

" Yes, tell us what are the results?"

"It's just as you thought, Your Majesty"

"Just tell us the result already" Alpha Vincenzo snapped

" Cassandra is truly your daughter, the rightful heir to Crimson Moon pack"
