Chapter 42: You're Pregnant?!

When I got back into my bedroom, I saw Dante standing in the middle of the room with his arms crossed, looking somewhat upset. I couldn’t imagine what I did between going to talk to his sister and coming back to my bedroom that would make him upset with me right now. I continue moving into the bedroom cautiously before locking the bedroom door like I always do.

“Everything with your sister is as good as it’s going to be for now,” I smiled at him and continued to walk to him in an effort to hug him to calm him down.

“What was she upset about?” He asked in a very hollow toned voice.

“When Darrius and Shaylee realized they weren’t fated mates, Darrius broke up with her. That made Shaylee lose her shit and scream at him and kick him out. I have to agree…that was a douche move on his part.” I explained as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

I could feel him physically relax, but I could sense he was stewing over something still.

“Is everything okay with you?” I asked as I went to kiss him.
