Chapter 48: Overcoming Fears

“How long has she been in our pack, Alpha?” I heard voices talking before I could open my eyes.

“Uh…since like the end of May? So…almost 3 months?”

“Okay, so 12 weeks or so you think?”

“Sure…let’s go with that. I don’t care about the politics surrounding her. I’ll deal with the council later. Is she going to be okay? What about the pup?” I could hear Dante’s sincere concern and how scared he was, “Will she wake up anytime soon?”

“Well, we’ve run some blood panels on her and she seems to be fine physically. We haven’t done an ultrasound on the pup yet. Unfortunately, we do need her consent before doing that. From what we can tell, her blood pressure was really high and could be the culprit that caused her to faint. Have you noticed anything different about her lately? Has she seemed stressed or nervous lately?” I assume the doctor is standing on the other side of my bed asking Dante questions. I keep my eyes closed and try to stay as still as possible as they talk. I’m still not ready
