Chapter 55: Something Still Missing
Joan was able to calm my nerves and screw my head back on the right way so-to-speak after my panicked meltdown in her room earlier today. I thanked her and eventually ordered her as her future Luna to take a pregnancy test since she was acting like I did when I first got here. I had this gut feeling that she was pregnant, but Joan didn’t say one way or the other about if her and Jackson had been trying for a pup, or just being stupid and irresponsible when mating. Joan said she would tell me the results after the Luna Ceremony tomorrow and I agreed.
Shaylee was running around like a chicken with her head cut off while trying to make everything perfect for my Luna ceremony AND she knew the sooner that day passed, the sooner she could be on the road on her own journey towards her mate, or at least that is what she hoped.
I heard my phone ping that I had a text message so I lazily pulled the phone from my pocket as I lounged in the great room of the pack house

The family barbeque was enjoyable to say the least. We received many strange stares from pack members as the three of us, Callen, Dante, and I, laid in the large lounge chair together. As we reached the first border, Jackson began explaining, “This is our southern border. You never want to go past these borders. Not only will you find yourself in Mexico, but you will also run into the cartel’s guard dogs, the Chupa Cabo Pack. They’re vicious and ruthless. My first official week as Luna of the Lone Star pack felt like a whirlwind! I woke up marked by both of my mates to Joan waiting outside my bedroom for me to get my day started.
