"I...I am fine. It..its nothing," I stammered and put my hand on my side. My face betrayed me and reflected pain that contradicted my words.
Lily didn't hesitate for one minute. She lifted my shirt, revealing the big ugly black and blue bruise on my ribs. Her face twisted into a frown.
"Oh my god! You are hurt. Why wouldn't you tell me, you stupid head?" she scolded. "Let's get you to bed," she said and grabbed my hand.
