Chapter 38

As Henry's secretary passed around the minutes of the last board meeting, he struggled to stay in focus but frequently found himself looking over the windows. After coming slightly late and getting odd looks from the top executives, he tried to get in tune with the task of the day but even that was too much to handle. Instead, he found himself thinking of his row with Gina some hours earlier. Though he had to admit that she was right on the fact that he always blew her off, he couldn't help but be angry at how she ignored his calls. He sighed and looked at the men in front of him.

He wasn't really in the mood for doing anything, and he tried to focus on the meeting which had already started. Like always, they were talking about how best to increase the stocks and buy more shares and for a moment, he tried to offer his own input. As the acting chairman of the company, Henry felt it was his duty to act as impartial and fairly as he could, so he listened to both sides of the board member
