58. Where is My Wife?

I finished showing Charlie how to catalog some of the things in the inventory. Charlie is a fast learner and always eager to learn. I enjoyed spending time with him.

I didn't hear my phone ring at first. Not until Charlie pointed it out.

"Miss Delilah, someone keeps calling you," he said.

I looked at him. "Oh yeah? Who is it?"

"I don't know. It's just a number." Charlie shrugged.

I squinted my eyes, then picked up the phone to look at it. Charlie was right. It was some unknown number, but there were six missed calls. Whoever was calling must be desperate to talk to me. I redialed the number and waited.

The caller picked up the phone after two rings.

"Delilah! This is Simon," he said on the other line. He sounded breathless.

"Simon? What's wrong? Why do you sound like that?" I asked. I had never heard Simon talk like this. Something must've happened.

"It's Sebastian...he..." Simon stopped as if to figure out what to say.

"What about Sebastian?" I urged him to speak.

"Sebastian
