CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

MADELINE'S POV

"Madeline, how are you doing today," Grandma Catherine asked as she passed my lunch to me from the food trolley.

"I am doing great," grandma Catherine I responded heartily.

"I heard the alpha is coming for a supervision in the penal pier today, regarding the last accident that happened."

I felt a twinge of nervousness at the mention of alpha Konan's visit. The ripples of anxiety flowed freely through me, without barriers.

"I have to move along. It is mandatory that everything is kept in order," grandma Catherine said.

"Look for the best time and opportunity to explain yourself to alpha Konan. The penal pier is not a sweet place for a sweet lady like you. Grandma catherine patted me on the shoulder and trudged along."

Ever since the tragedy, I have been wanting to see him, to explain myself, to tell him that I am not a murderer and can never be one. I wanted to tell him things weren't adding up even when all the evidences were pointing straight at me.
