She did not protest when I lifted her off the ground and carried her in my arms, bridal style, moving towards the stairs. She was still sobbing into my shirt, and I did not dare interrupt. She had every right to let all her pain out, even if I personally felt that the people she was crying over weren't worth it one bit.

It was the first time I had seen her break down completely; with such a defeated look in her eyes. The results had completely broken her spirit, and while I felt very bad for making her feel like this, I also knew that this was unavoidable, and she could either choose to know this now, or later. She would still learn of it one way or the other.

We arrived at my room and after unlocking the door with one of my hands which was underneath her, I walked inside. Then, I laid Liya on my bed, covering her with the duvet before going over to the side to lie beside her.
