17| A SEDUCTION MISSION

Dice was gone.

I woke up to an empty bed and sat up to look around but there was no sign of the man I had taken care of. A sharp pain exploded in my chest, but I consoled myself with the fact that if he had the strength to get up and leave, he was probably feeling a lot better.

I got off the bed, and just to be sure, checked in his bathroom. The empty space confirmed my thoughts.

I walked back to the bed and was just about to get on it again, when I spotted a note on the bedside table. I slowly stretched my hand towards it, picked it up, and it simply read;

‘The moment you open your eyes, get out.’

Stupid tears stung my eyes. Of course, what had I expected? The girls he slept with had probably also played nurse with him, too. I was not any different.

I wiped my eyes ferociously, feeling like a total idiot as I bolted to my room on the other side of the house. I passed by Ceci, but said nothing to her, even though she gave me a smile and stopped to talk.
