129: Sneaked Out

YVONNE —

It was nine o'clock in the night when I sneaked out of our matrimonial bed and was tiptoeing to leave the room. Everything was going smoothly until I mistakenly hit my leg on an object in the room, and it made such an alarming noise that Conan woke up.

I could not see the object because I did not turn on the light, as I was trying not to wake him, but here we are. I had done the worst, and he woke up.

However, as I realized that he had woken up, I pretended like I was not sneaking out and did as if I were trying to put on my sweater.

Conan rolled his hand on the bed in search of me, but he couldn't, and then he turned on the light. "Oh, you are awake," he remarked.

"Yes, I am. The weather is so cold, so I decided to put on my sweater," I lied, knowing fully well that the weather was very cool and friendly.

"Oh, alright. Do and get to bed because I want to feel you," he responded, resting his head back on the pillow.

"Nonsense," I mumbled, pausing what I was doing and staring
