The kids had just left for school when I went to Amanda's room to tell her the latest developments.

As I was heading to her room, my mind went to the incident that took place at Queen's Hospital, inside the MD's office, Mr. Thomas.

It was then that I realized that I did not visit him as we agreed. I had slept off as I returned from work yesterday because of the incident that happened. It even started haunting me right from the office.

"Well, I think I should call him after speaking with Amanda. He must really be disappointed and heartbroken," I mumbled, sighing.

Upon walking into her room, I met Amanda, who glued her face to her phone, smiling as she read something from the phone. It was probably a text from someone.
