A few minutes later, Conan returned, smiling.

"We are good to go now. He was calling to inform me about the bill, so I've cleared it up; let's go home," Conan said.

I knew it was about the clearance he called, and that was why I wasn't really pleased that Conan left after him. I would have gone with the doctor myself, but Conan was too quick to stand up and approach him before me, just because I was still forcing Liam to eat.

"Wow, thank you so much, Alpha Conan, for your help; I really appreciate it," I said, letting out a smile.

"Say thank you to Uncle. He paid for the medical bill," I told Liam.

"Thank you, Uncle Conan," Liam remarked.

"You're welcome, friend. Always be a good boy to mommy, okay?" Conan stated, and Liam nodded his head in affirmation.

"Now, let's get out of this place. There is not much time to waste," Conan said.
