Upon walking toward the dim area, at the corner where the DJ was, I felt a hand pat on my shoulder, and my heart flew into my stomach.

"Yvonne, you're already here," a female voice followed.

My body trembled, but I managed to remain strong and turned to find out who that was.

"Oh my goodness! I exclaimed upon noticing it was Edith, Erick's mate.

"Girl, you look stunning. In fact, stunning is an understatement. Words alone could not define how charming and beautiful you are," Edith remarked, making me blush.

"You must be kidding me, Edith. You're rather the one looking hot. Mehn, your mate is really taking good care of you," I responded, and she chuckled. Immediately, the bright features on her face were replaced with a sad one.

"I really wish you were still in the Adolph family. It had been long since you left, and I had been wishing for a day like this to come so I could set my eyes on you once more, but here it has happened. Who said the moon goddess is not after her people?
