Chapter Eleven

My wrists started to burn a little against the restraints and I knew Mabel had a hand in this happening to me.

“What is it little wolf?” Mabel feigned concern. Her head tilted to one side curiously as if she did not know what she was doing. I whimpered and moaned as I tried to get my hands free.

“Wolf’s bane.” The old lady muttered. Her fingers reached up to her necklace and nails fiddled with the blue diamonds, reflecting sapphire hues my way.

“It is a werewolf’s worst enemy. It took a while to work on you because you refused to accept your wolf.” She mentioned. I was now wheezing and turning a dangerous shade of red. I was sweating profusely. My blood was boiling out of control and my energy level was deteriorating. The so called wolf’s bane was burning my wrists like boiling water to the flesh, and sucking all my strength away.
