2 | Nothing coffee can’t solve

Olivia’s POV

I woke up at 6:00 AM. It's my first day of work. I'm nervous. I'll finally start making Enough money to pay off my student loans. I'm still not safe though. I heard 'The boss' is hard ass 26 year old. Personally, I think he just gotta get laid. Not to make it worse he only work with people from their 20s to 30s no older than that. I mean what kind of douchebag is this guy.

I bet he looks hot.

Brain! Down girl! That little voice in my head is so naughty...

My loans are so bad. I even thought about joining the army just to pay it off. I still wanna join for fun though, but I realized I'm 20 I got time to get a good job. Since I'm young and smart I landed that job.

"Yeah, I need a cup of coffee."

My feet touched the cold wood floor. God, I love that feeling. I made my way to the kitchen turning on the coffee maker. Work starts at 8:00 for me, but Ari on the other hand. She got to get out of here at 7:00 with that hangover today's going to be painful for her.

I made my way to her room with a cup of coffee at hand. I placed the coffee on her nightstand. Shaking her shoulder lightly.

"Hey babe, 7:00 is near."

"Go away!" Shoving the covers in her head.

"C'mon it's time to be a personal shopper babe."

She groaned. "My head is pounding."

I smiled gently removing some hair from her face. "Nothing a cold shower and coffee can't solve."

She grabbed the cup. "I think a hot shower will suffice."

"I don't think so, I'll draw you a cold bath. Try turning on the hot water, and I cut it off for two weeks."

"No no no, I'll take the cold bath"

I turned on the cold water. I waited till the bath was half full, and threw in some essential. I walk back out, and my way to the kitchen. Getting my own cup of coffee. I open my laptop checking my emails. Just like I suspected. I already have a task at hand. I'm supposed to fetch the boss a cup of coffee from Starbucks to greet him properly.

Does he not have coffee at home? Or know the location of Starbucks?

I'm his assistant. It only makes sense, but I'm still furious.

I finished my coffee and made my way to the bathroom. I also took a cold shower. The cold water always calms my nerves. I got out with my wet curls. Well, I'm screwed. I'd have to go with my untamed curls since I don't have time to curl it. Perks of being Trinidadian.

Nevermind that. I opened my closet. Ari was right I'm a Cheapskate, but I thrift so I got a good cheap outfit that looks like it cost a lot. I took out my pencil skirt with a white long sleeve turtle neck. Going with a brown coat. I added some light jewelry. I even did a simple makeup look.

I made my way outside the room. Ari already left. I quickly grabbed my laptop, phone, and bag.

I walked outside. Michie was not gonna last today, so I took a taxi. I gave the location. In between checking I*******m and my emails. We arrived. That's when it hit me.

I forgot the coffee.

Thank God there's a little coffee shop nearby, but it's not Starbucks. He wouldn't notice.

Hopefully not.

I walked out of the taxi, tipped the driver, and walked into the little coffee shop called. 'Colombia' I've heard of it before. I re-read the email to see his order. It was just plain black coffee. No sugar.

I paid and walked back out. Entering the building that will soon change my life. Written in bold.

'Hudson Enterprise.'
