Spending the night in Killian's spare room was a mistake. I was so stupid to stay back after Mariselle and Regé left.

On the surface, I was pretending to be okay, but deep down, it wasn't entirely true.

I was giving Killian the green light, and he was getting too comfortable with me. I wondered if I was doing the right thing or jumbling things up.

First, it was my stupid crush on CJ. Then I rushed into a relationship with Ronin, and now Killian was acting as my pretend boyfriend.

All in the bid to forget CJ.

Although a small part inside of me was happy that I got a reaction from him when Killian kissed me and I found satisfaction in the fact that he was jealous, yet, I was not being fair to Killian. If he found out that CJ was the man I was in love with, he'd flip.

CJ and I were in different stages of life. I was just beginning, and he couldn't align with someone half his age, and in the long run, we might not even be compatible, whether I loved him or not.
