Killian and I headed to the basketball court for evening practice. I didn't have much to do, so when he asked me to come watch him, I couldn't say no.

Ever since the steamy encounter in CJ's office, I'd begun doubting everything, especially after his confession about the kiss with Esme. Somehow, that little information made so much difference.

CJ didn't like Esme and I felt a small victory over her.

Killian was a great sportsman. I sipped my milkshake and watched him from the bleachers, practicing free throws and dribbling the basketball, while I had a chat with Mariselle, who couldn't stop calling and texting me after hearing about my fight with Esme, minus her my rendezvous with her dad of course.
